Time to Shine
Tainui and Melissa's TIME TO SHINE!
Tainui is a prop in the Canterbury Bulls and Papanui Tigers League Teams. What a star! He earned the Tiger's Player of the Year award in 2015. Tainui is working towards being a junior All Black when he is 16.
Melissa showed us her box of special memories from when she was a baby. She showed us the outfit she left hospital in, her first shoes, a picture of her handprints and footprints at 4 months, some art, and many other treasures from her life. Thanks for sharing, Melissa.

Time to Shine
Today Rhys and Tayler shared some details of their recent holidays with us. Tayler went to Geraldine and he camped for a week. We cracked up when he told us that a peacock swiped his hot dog and ran away with it. Rhys went to the Gold Coast last year. The highlight of his holiday was going on the Tower of Terror at Dream World.

Mindfulness Training
In Wairere mindfulness training helps us to relax and focus. It reduces stress and makes us feel calm. Today we focused on deep belly breathing.

Time to Shine
Today at Literacy time, Cody shared some of his precious rocks with us. He also bought in some sharks teeth. Amber gave us a presentation on her baby book. She even showed us a blanket and a dummy that had been kept as treasures. We love it when students show confidence by sharing interesting things from home with us.

Buddy Class
On Friday Wairere teamed up with Hapua for some Buddy Time. Room 9 and Room 4v worked some Chinese New Year crafts.
