Kia Ora Wairere Whanau
Mathsathon forms are due back tomorrow, in preparation for the Mathsathon test next Monday. We'll mark the form and send it back home in order for you to collect your sponsorship. Many thanks.
We are a lively group of learners in Years 5 and 6. (That makes us 9 - 11 years old). We attend Isleworth School in Christchurch and we LOVE it! GO US! If you like what we are up to, please let us know by commenting on our posts.

Experience Breens
Kia ora whanau.
This is a message for all families with children in Year 6. Next Tuesday morning, our year 6 students will walk down to Breens Intermediate to participate in "Experience Breens". The principal and teachers there will welcome our group and tell them a bit about life at Breens. The technology rooms will open their doors and groups of our children will get to have a go at a couple of activities, before walking back to school. There is no commitment to enroll at Breens. We find the students absolutely love trying the variety of activities on offer at an intermediate school, as well as seeing their old friends from Isleworth.
If the weather looks dodgy, please send a jacket with your child,as we will be going even if it rains.
Should you want to come with us, just let me know. Parents andcaregivers are invited to meet the staff and work alongside yourchild for the session, in order for you to get a feel for the school.

Deconstruction Club is Fun!
We had a great session in Deconstruction Club today, pulling apart some broken appliances - a toaster, an X-Box, a jug, an alarm clock and a computer keyboard, as well as a cherry picker motor. Alas, we have almost come to the end of our appliances. Are you able to help us to continue next week? Donations of broken appliances gratefully received. Please drop off at the office or to Room 4.
