A great turn out of new children, parents and staff were welcomed to Isleworth.
It was a lovely feeling welcoming our new students, parents and staff to Isleworth School this morning. After the National Anthem, Mrs Shearer welcomed the visitors on behalf of the tangata whenua. We then sang our school song. Miss Simmonds then responded for the manuhiri by saying thank you for the welcome and us all joining in the waiata He Honore. The staff and student representatives then welcomed each new visitor with a hongi. Some of the visitors then stayed on for a bite to eat and drink.Thank you to all who attended and organised this successful Mihi Whakatau.
